Happy birthday to my darling husband!
He just turned the magical 40 yesterday and we had a blast all day. I took the day off work so we could sleep in and though we still needed to run some holiday errands, we were able to relax with each other all day. I gave him his present right before dinner - I can't tell you what it is - I'll leave that up to him but I think he really liked it.... now he's a trendy geek. :) We finished the evening by attending a Madrigal dinner at the Jefferson Unitarian Church with my co-worker and her husband, who happens to be one of JUC's ministers. The other 4 guests at our table were all professional musicians - Joe -Flute, Judy - violin, Camilla - cello, and Joel - percussion. Very lively discussion. They all live in Buena Vista but work in Denver - wow. Judy even performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra but she is retired now. Since the Lord of the Festivities was Joe's nephew, he got them to sing Happy Birthday to Thor while one of the bawdy wenches was hugging and loving on him. Wonderful stuff! Good show!
Today its time for me to sing with the DWC again in their winter concert featuring our small ensemble - Take Note. We have our big one next month - stay tuned for details. And I get to see the big news from Emily, my sister... yeah!!!!!!
