Snow Day!
It snowed last night. It snowed a lot last night, and it just keeps on snowing!
Well, I was listening to the radio this morning while we were getting up, and they were listing school closings. It was kind of fun and exciting, even though I have been out of school for a long time. Looks like almost every school around was closed. I got up plenty early because I knew it might take a while to drive to work. Started up the cars & swept em off, while Cece was preparing lunches for us.
The problem was the snowplow (which had been past who-knows-when, as there was plenty of fresh snow in the road) had pushed up a blockade of snow and ice at the end of the driveway. I tried getting through it several times but wasn't able to do it. I stopped after nearly getting stuck partway out of the driveway.
I called work and left a message for my boss (dunno if she made it in or not). Cece made a few calls and found out her work had declared a snow day anyway.
Ahhh! So, it's time to sit back, relax, do a bit of cleaning, play on the computer, and that sort of thing. We plan to bake some chocolate chip cookies! And maybe we can make a snowman...
