Hope you don't mind me friending you! Just wanted to say thank you (again) for the fic, it was absolutely fantastic and just what I wanted. I was so pleased you picked that request, too, because I adore the book. I actually took it home with me to re-read over Christmas anyway, so when I got your story I was extra-happy! Anyway, I've already recced it once at my journal, and I'll definitely be doing so again :)

I'm so glad you were pleased with the story. It was an interesting challenge to write, especially trying to reflect the original 'voice' - which reads deceptively easily, but has all these interesting literary tricks lurking in the text. I was briefly tempted to write the back story for Miss Heliotrope and the Old Parson, but that would have meant a tragic ending, so I settled for Sir Wrolf's tale instead. For which, I have to say, there turned out to be a great many hints and clues in the book!
