Got home from PT last night and checked the garden. The radishes are ready! Beautiful red emperor hybrid radishes. Some are still on the small side but I pulled a handful of the bigger ones and had them with dinner. YUM! I know a lot of people don't like them but I have had a thing for radishes lately. I love not knowing if one is going to be on the sweet or the spicy side until I bite into it. The ones from my garden have a nice amount of bite to them. I can't wait to get home tonight and pick some more!
Book reviews are coming, I promise. There are at least two anthologies I want to review on here and I need to do it soon before I forget which stories I liked! As with most anthologies I found some stories I liked, some that were just OK, and the occasional one that made me go WTF? I read for a lot of reasons not the least of which is to be entertained. I don't mind having to work at it either but it irks me when I get done and I'm still not sure what the author was driving at. I don't know about you but I don't enjoy it when a book or story leaves me feeling stupid. And there was one story here that made me feel exactly like that. The whole time I was reading it I felt as if I were drowning - too much language, not enough comprehension.
Enough stalling. Back to the salt mines.
