Thoughts on Project Runway 3
1. Tim Gunn's in the opening sequence now, rotating slightly and spewing one of his catchphrases (yes, they're catchphrases now, just like "ay oh, oh ay!" and "have mercy!"). He's becoming a cartoon character, and that concerns me. And you can already see him reacting to it - after he tells someone to "carry on" during the workroom portion of the show, he quickly corrects himself. "Keep going."
2. Malan! I mean, what a jackass.
3. So, they lost the Banana Republic sponsorship? This bodes no good. Who the hell wants something from the "Macy's Accessory Rack"?! Does anyone really want a design mentorship with Macy's in-house brand?
4. I have to hand it to them - the challenge was original and interesting. And they made them lie in the beds that they'd unmade! Cold, but brilliant.
5. Michael Knight's coffee filters FTW.
6. I want the little acoustic guitar strumming loop they play when someone wins! I'll put it on my iPod and play it whenever something good happens to me. Oh, and the half-speed drum loop the directly proceeds Heidi's "you're out." I want to get that on one of those novelty audio keychains, and play it at those people who hold the subway doors open.
