So this weekend has been very hectic. Friday I had midterms, chem was
ok I guess, but I honestly think I failed my math midterm. Oh well,
nothing I can do about that now. All I can say in my defense was that
it was incredibly hard. Everyone I talked to said they BSed the whole
thing. After my midterms I had tech, which is interesting. I now know
how to work the sound board in Wyatt theater, and it's fun to be on
headset. Beats having Tyler walk around backstage with a single walkie
talkie. My designer Kristen is awesome. I hang out with her in my drama
class and she's really nice, but more than that she is a sound genius.
There's this part where Julie and Jean are having sex in the show
(offstage, of course) and there's this HOT swedish group singing a song
called "Raven" ("foxwoman" in English) that sound like Rammstein but
not so harsh a voice. Think Engle. And there's someone in the inner
above swinging a speaker around (like a ferris wheel) while the sub
woofer is blasting so I feel the vibrations in the booth (the sub is
under the stage). We went out for lunch Saturday with the costume
designer at this yummy noodle place with awesome chow mein. She's so
awesome, I <3 Kristen, lol.
Friday night was Rocky Horror Live in the Mondavi center, which
was..... fantastic. Orgasmic even. The costumes, the set, everything
was just.... oooh. lol. There was no real set, just pieces that rolled
on and off stage and a scrim backdrop dyed to look celestial. It was
hot. Especially cuz during the TV monitor part they backlit the scrim
so you could see thru it and there were chorus members (in superhero
costumes!) doing sexual acts, hott hott hott! I liked how John was
Poison Ivy.... he's always dressed as a woman, lol. And Travis was the
narrator, an awesome job cuz he was taking snipes at the audience that
were perfectly timed...many aimed at those getting a UCD education,
lol. Needless to say, the show gave me chills. And Aram looks HOT in
girls clothes, lol.
I had tech from 10:30 AM to 7:30 pm Sat (cuz Kristen let me out
early :) ) then got ready for the semi formal that night. Mucho fun. I
got at least 7 complements on the dress I made, and D told me twice
"you look good, really good". LOL. That was while he kept stepping on
my feet while we were dancing. Oooh, they hurt today. We had big group
slow dances during the 2 they played, but I had fun with my AZN luvah
Carrie. I was spinning her around and tossing her out, pulling her in
and dipping her. Sooo fun, 'specially cuz she's tiny. I tried it with
Lori, but she was freaked out I guess. Ian, Lori's "friend" (who flirts
with her all the time in Chem, tho she denies it) had me dip him too,
lol. We're not sure about him liking her tho, cuz he danced one slow
dance with her and then asked D to dance the other... maybe he's bi...
dunno. Stephen was dancing with me for a while and I jokingly called
him "cousin" to which Ian was like "WHAT?!?!" cuz of how we were
dancing, it was hilarious. Today was tech from 11-9 and then I got
yummy fried rice from Old Teahouse. Then did some hw, and now it's
bedtime. I think I may skip chem manana. So, gnite all!
