I wonder if anyone actually wondered if my 'hair accessory' was real? At least none of the food I made goes to waste, the treats went down well

Really? I never would have thought they'd be similar. But if you really want to hear about it...

Kishin eggs? Well...basically when a soul strays and becomes corrupt, they'll slowly change into something not quite human. That gets worse when they start eating pure human souls, which usually lands them on a list, the higher up they are, the more risk they are of becoming a Kishin.

And you fight these Kishin because...?

To stop them eating so they don't evolve into a full fledged Kishin. There's only ever been one person to fully turn into one...and he's currently turning the world into a realm of insanity. Also, as odd as it seems, we need the kishin eggs, the souls of those who are corrupted.

What do you need them for?

Soul collecting weapons need the energy of the kishin eggs to grow in strength. The main goal of most weapons is to collect one hundred souls with the help of meister, in order to become a weapon Lord Death can wield himself, a Death Scythe.

So you use souls for your own benefit. [Just like a demon.] Impressive.

It's the rules about what to do once they are purged. Sadly they are more often at the stage of when they are finished off that they have forsaken their own humanity for something, the power to conquer their fears. Still, some are able to respond beforehand, and find peace. [Sadly speaking from experience.]

You don't think a soul can ever find rest?

A soul can find revenge, but the pain of their life never goes away.

You don't think that if they resolve their issues before they die they'll be able to find contentment wherever they end up?
