Disney!
I went to Disney World!! And it was.. freaking incredible. Brief overview, because I want to look back at this in a few years.
Sunday: Left our house around 6 am, took a United Airlines flight out of Dulles... plane left around 9. Arrived at The Boardwalk Resort around 11:30, and by 12:30 we were on our way to Magic Kingdom!! Space Mountain was closed, but we got to do a lot of other fun rides. Late that night, John and I took a walk along the Boardwalk, and I got to see the Epcot "golf ball" for the first time! We had a gorgeous view of it from our resort :) We ate dinner at Liberty Tavern, it was like Thankgsiving!!
Monday: We started the day at Epcot. We road Test Track, did a greenhouse boat tour, and rode Soarin - my favorite Disney Ride, for sure! We went back to the hotel afterwards for a bit to relax, and then headed over to Hollywood Studios. Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster were amazing. So amazing! We had dinner at the Prime Time Cafe... everyone there is like your family, and I got yelled at for being a "tattletale" - AWESOME! Went to the pool afterwards to relax, and went through a clowns mouth on a slide!!
Tuesday: We spent the first half of the day at Animal Kingdom :) that was a lot of fun, we road Expedition Everest twice, and it was amazing. Had some awesome Chinese food for lunch :) headed over to Magic Kingdom for some yummy Italian food (but some gross Rum ice cream.. I didn't see the Rum part before ordering!) and then over to Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic. Very awesome show, I really, really liked it!
Wednesday: We spent most of the day at Hollywood Studios... sounds ideal to me! We had dinner at Hollywood & Vine. It was okay, nothing special, just a buffet. Still, pretty yummy. And we even had lunch at Pizza Planet! From Toy Story. That was pretty awesome. Spent 2hours waiting for Rock n Roller Coaster, but it was still amazing. Got some awesome Aerosmith shorts :) I love em! We had a total blast that day. We got to ride the new Toy Story ride/game, with like a 10 minute wait! It was fun. I really enjoyed the Backlot Tour, seeing all the old movie props & such. It was a blast :) After dinner, we headed over to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks show, and then got to ride Big Thunder Mountain (twice!) and Splash Mountain -- no lines!! That was great :)
Thursday: Spent a little while again at Hollywood Studios :) saw the classic Indiana Jones show, it was great! We spent the rest of the day at Epcot, and stayed until Midnight :)We did the whole walk around the World Showcase, but then got poured on, so we had to go back to the hotel. After that, we had an incredible dinner at Le Cellier, a steakhouse. It was amazing, and our waiter was pretty awesome. After dinner we got to ride Test Track and Soarin again!
Friday: After checking out, we had a few more hours and headed over to Magic Kingdom. It was great :) we road our last few rides, finishing off with Buzz Lightyear, and then headed over to the airport. Our flight home was bumpy, but pretty quick.
And now here I am... home again, home again, jiggigty jig.
