Marriage Equality Rally.... Same sex marriage....
Last Saturday I went in to Melbourne for the Marriage Equality Rally!! It's been planned for ages, but it was perfect timing with Obama coming out to support Gay Marriage just 2 days before!! It was great, it put the issue in the spotlight just when we need it!!
Such an amazing day! 4000+ people took to the streets of Melbourne. There is another planned for August! Hopefully we can get even more people to come and stand up with us :-)
Now that Obama and NZ have come out supporting marriage equality, Australia is the only 1st world country that still has both leaders of their opposing parties against it!
Oh... and not a protester in sight!!! :-)

My beautiful cousin Sarah came with me! I think of her as my first baby, as I was her nanny 7 days a week when I was 17, I had her so much she even started to call me mum!! lol
Sarah's older brother Mathias is openly gay.
Look who I found quite easily in the crowd!! My obsession, Thomas Jaspers!! After the speeches I went over, he recognised me instantly, gave me a kiss on the cheek and had a chat! He's so lovely!! (He was in this post http://users.livejournal.com/mysweetprince_/139993.html , and in the comments section are links to when I've post about him before that ;-D)
Oh, and he tweeted me that night to thank me for coming all the way into the city just for the rally!!
AND I almost wet myself when he tweeted me the next day, and wished me a Happy Mothers Day!!!... But he's still not following me...

I was taking Ava (7) with me up until a few days before when she got a last minute invite to a friends party. I'm definitely taking her to the August one!
This was one of the volunteers collecting donations for the next rally. When I put in my donation, he noticed that someone had thrown in their money wrapped in a piece of paper. He unwrapped it, and found it was a phone number!! lmao!! Trying to pick up at a rally! He laughed and said "I'm already taken" ;-)
Some more signs. For my friends overseas, Julia Gillard is our homophobic Prime Minister... but the opposition leader is even worse!!
As I said, Obama had come out supporting gay marriage a couple of days earlier, hence the "Stick it in my Obama, coz I Barack for equality" ;-)
Time to take to the streets for a march and a chant or "What do we want? Marriage Equality! When do we want it? Now!"

Last Friday night over dinner my 7 year old Ava asked me what Marriage Equality meant. I explained it and she understood and accepted it, no questions asked... Why is it so hard for so many others?

On a completely different note (a One Direction note), I had a nap the other day when Ilana was at Kinder. My alarm went off, I hit snooze, it went off again, and I turned it off, planning to get up.
You know how sometimes you think you're awake, but you're not really?... Well, I was up, doing what I had to do, and left to go pick Ilana up for kinder...... It was only when I suddenly found myself kissing my way up Harry Styles neck, while he slid a hand up my skirt that I realised that something wasn't quite right!! LMAO!
Luckily, that woke me up, just in time to rush to her kinder just as they were finishing up!! lol
Last night, I had a dream that I was making love to Niall Horan, with lots of sweet, sweet kisses during! It was beautiful! LOL
Some might say I'm obsessed, but I say I'm..... umm..... ok, I'm obsessed ;-)
