on a birthday-pancake morning

hey you lovers. wish me happy birthday. it's this tuesday. i'm gonna be in california :o). but i'm not sure if i wanna go right now. i guess it'll be good to escape the east coast...so i will be leaving to get on my plane now. comment on the two poems i have in here (first and third entries after this)? i really want people's opinions because i haven't written anything for months. i wanna write one that starts off something like this: "you ask me what day it is and i have to look at my pillbox to make sure." what do you think?

p.s.the single birthday present i have recieved so far: i'm going to austria this summer curtesy o' my grandparents. i'll drink to that.
