I retract my Previous Statement

For those of you who may give a damn, the Tour de France begins tomorrow. In my previous entry I stated that Ivan Basso would take the crown and be the new owner of the yellow jersey. And if anyone could beat him, it would be Jan Ullrich of the T-Mobile team. Well thanks to a Spanish newspaper these two heavyweights will now be watching the tour and wishing just like the rest of us. Why do you ask? The newspaper reported that about fifty cyclists slated to compete this month were named in a blood doping scandal. In accordance the UCi decided to pull these riders out of the tour. In the wake of the new info, I retract my earlier prediction of Basso or Ullrich winning the tour. My new pick of the tour will be Floyd Landis of team Phonak. I picked him before as a dark horse, he'll have to impress a lot of people, kind of hopeful. If not Landis, I pick George Hindcapie of the Discovery Channel team. I predict that one of those two will win, if Basso or Ullrich don't get back in on a technicality. Enjoy the Tour my friends!
