Doctor Who
Well I sat down and watched the first story arc of Doctor Who: "An unearthly child" through "the Firemaker". Obviously it's very different than the current series having been made in the 60s. The plot was slow to say the lease. I'd have preferred a shorter but quicker tale. The lack of special effects really didn't bother me. Surprisingly. I remember trying to watch Doctor Who reruns as a child and they were campy and "stupid". Perhaps later episodes will remind me, but for now I must say it wasn't half bad.
I am interested in the Doctor. He definitely doesn't have the personality that I expect to find in the doctor. He's neither compassionate nor kind. While I have seen him angry and doing not so nice things, this doctor doesn't seem to have an excuse for his lack of compassion, unless possibly that he's protecting Susan.
It'd be interesting to see how he changes over the years.
