Our cat, Noli, has been terrorizing her kittens lately. She loves to chase them down and wrestle with them until they cry, and sometimes won't even stop then until Michael or I interfere with her. It's very strange behavior that neither Michael nor I have seen in a cat before. But I can tell the kittens are getting tired of it. Today I saw her start after one of them, and all 4 in the vicinity (I have no idea where number 5 was at the time) immediately ran and hid under the bookshelf where she was too big to reach them.

I think justice has been served tonight.

Trying to track down what was causing the horrible smell of cat urine, I decided it might be the towel that was in the bottom of the cage in which she and her kittens arrived. As I took the towel to the washing machine, I left the cage open and noticed that Noli had walked inside. When I came back from the washing machine, I saw that the cage door was shut behind her. Since Michael was in the kitchen and couldn't have done that, it had to have been one of her kittens. The kitten hadn't figured out how to work the lock, but it did managed to shut the door on her. Seeing that she wasn't really locked in, Michael and I decided to just let her stay there for a while (and give the kittens a break), lol. It took her a good 15 minutes before she realized she could come out.

Now I want to know which kitten was smart enough to shut the door on her, lol.
