FANNING OLD FLAMES by Valerie Mann

Dec 11, 2009 06:01

Lauren Giovanni isn't feeling good vibes at the dance club her friend and partner, Pam, dragged her to. After her divorce two years ago, Lauren has steered clear of men, and Pam is trying to set her up. Fortunately, Lauren runs into the man, who broke her teenage heart, Seth Fleming, and decides to get a little of her own back on Seth.

FANNING OLD FLAMES is a charming story about unrequited love and second chances. Ms. Mann gives insight into Lauren and Seth, by giving both character's perspectives about the same incident. This reader felt in tune with both characters and sympathy for the heartbreak and insecurities of first love. Even though the story is brief, the emotions felt by Lauren and Seth are intense and a happily-ever-after is very believable.

Four and One Half Mystique Moons. (Excellent)
Class Three sensuality. (Standard Romance)
