Unexplored territory for me
Today like all other days after tjareth left for work I sat down at the computer. We have both linux and XP on the computer. Tjareth had been in linux before he left, nothing unusual. He logged out and I logged in so I could restart computer and go back to windows. Well, now the fun begins. The screen to choose OS comes up and Windows is not on the list. Alright maybe I did something wrong. Load up linux and sign back in and restart computer again. HMMM not there again. None of the games I play work on Linux, so my thought was this sucks. Contact tjareth and bring up linux IM and ask for help. First we try to get my games working on linux, no success. My vision is not what it used to be and I need to go get glasses, so just reading is not an option right now. I see my options as watch tv, clean, and blah. Tjareth found a fix for me to get windows working again. Yay lots of jargon I have never seen before or dealt with in any way shape or form. He sends me a list of instructions to use in linux to make windows work again. Well I followed the directions with a couple questions to tjareth(we are talking thru IM) to get this done. Restarted computer and voila Windows is now at top of list for choosing what OS to run. So I am posting this in my LJ while windows is running on my computer. Might sound crazy to others but I am quited satisfied with myself for doing this.
