Turning 20 vs. Turning 25

May 21, 2008 00:08

With Stewart about to turn 5, I was thinking about how my life change in over 5 years. I was wondering how am I different as a person and how my situation has changed since then. I feel that not much has change with me physically but mentally on the other hand I know that there is a different on how I see life and love for that matter.
Turning 20
1. I was married at the time who I thought that was the love of my life.
2. Only had almost two kids.
3. Naive with money and my responsibilities
4. I thought that I was going to live a happy life with my husband that was in the military and be this great little housewife. I was making dinner, ironing, bathing the child, and all sorts of things.
5. I wanted to go to school to become a Nurse working in the Maternity ward.
6. I had Howard in my life as my father figure.
7. Had good friendships with only a very few people

Turning 25
1. DIVORCED. Yes, granted he was the love of my life at one point but known it seems that love can have many different faces though time.
2. Four Kids…my two sons that are no longer with me and my daughters who are my babies. Caspian and Lennon (Stewart) are still my sons but both are not with me for one reason of another.
3. Still having the financial issues as before but have become less frivolous with my money since it can only go so far without having to ask for help.
4. I’m not living happy with my ex, or any one at this time. I have also come to understand that I can be a decent housewife don’t expect Susie Homemaker out of me.
5. Almost done with school, but have decided on a completely different career path. From Criminal Justice to Culinary Arts.
6. I have Howard that has always been there for me through thick and thin for the past 8 years. I now have my biological father Bob. We have common interests and he has turned me on to Star Trek.
7. My friendships are the same with the same people. One of the friendships that I have has gotten stronger then it has ever been. Heather and I were best friends in High school and now we seem to be closer now then we were.
