in my class on thursday i had to give a mini lesson. sister gee had us filmed, and so friday i had to go to her office and watch myself teach. i hate watching myself! anyway, i did learn a lot about good and bad things that i do while teaching. it was very helpful. after i finished watching, sister gee asked me what i learned. i told her a few things, one of which was that i speak clearly and loudly. i don't think it will be a problem for my students way in the back row to hear me. she agreed and said that i have a great teaching voice. she said that i have a very "rich" tone and that i am "pleasant to listen to." she said, "it's a gift." she also said that i have great presence. i have been told that i have great stage presence from my time in drama, but i didn't know that it could carry over to teaching. i thought that was cool. =) just thought i'd share.
