Last night we went to see a band called Battles. They were very good. Their stuff is mostly instrumental with vocal sounds instead of lyrics. One of their song had lyrics but it was electronically altered. Check them out here if you want http://myspace.com/battlestheband
The opening band was ok. The vocalist ruined it for me though. She had no sense of rhythm or as Michael said no sense of musical talent. Poor girl. It was incredibly hot at the venue though. They didn't have air conditioning just ceiling fans and with all those people it was sweltering. We were able to see the stage when Battles came on cause we found some stools to stand on to see over people.
So, I kind of got roped into working on Harry Potter Night. Should be interesting in a fun but crazy sort of way. I have to figure out what to wear. Either a costume or formal wear. I haven't figured it out yet. Anyway, Dad comes in Monday and I have to clean up the apartment sometime between now and then.
