Dear Earth, You are oh so big, yet oh so small!
Today is my Godmother's birthday. So, Happy Birthday to her!
I got home from ASCE meeting, and my mom told me this great story.
You see, my Godmother is a psychiatrist in Puerto Rico. And one of her patients was talking about how he really wanted to move "out there" (meaning here). Because his daughter lives out here, and he'd have a good place to relax and visit family. So, my Godmother tells him that her comadre - have no clue what the word is in English...so let's go for friend, lives in Delaware. And the guy goes, "Yeah, my daughter works in Delaware. She used to work for Dupont, and now she works out there." So my godmother told her patient my mom's name. And he remembered it. So today, Gloria comes up to my mom and is all like "YOUR COMADRE IS MY DAD'S SHRINK!!!". My mom is Kaziah's Godmother (Gloria's oldest). Which is all fine and dandy. But this had great timing, because I called my Godmother to wish her a happy birthday, and after the singing and "OMG! You're GRADUATING!" she asked me if I knew a Gloria. And I was all like "Yeah. I definately just had this conversation." And, my Godmother is very expressive, and she said "What the hell!?!? I just had the session yesterday, and you already know about this!?!?!"
It's a small world after all.....
