holiday spirit is out in force
Went out for some quick grocery shopping and was in the pet aisle where an employee stocking the shelves had a large cart of stuff blocking half the aisle. Knowing I didn't want to block the whole aisle, I tossed seven cans of dog food into the cart and asked my mother if we had any chew bones for the dog. Because she was thinking about it, I moved past the chew bones and shifted around the large cart so a woman and her daughter could pass.
The woman, without looking at me, raises her eyebrows and begins to clap and says, "Finally, yay," all sarcastic while pushing past. I wish I could say I had some clever retort beyond the sarcastic, "Oh, I'm sorry!" I gave her, but I'm just thinking about how her daughter doesn't really need to hear me calling her mom an asshole.
