Today we took down the decorations at work and we were completely bummed out the rest of the day. It's back to blah walls. Today a co-worker also locked her keys in her car with the car running. Thankfully she left a window cracked an inch and I was able to shimmy a lateral file rail with a plastic knife taped to the end down in there and hit ( Read more... )

I've seen 2-3 episodes of NCIS in the last couple of weeks, and it's cute (is that a word that should be applied to crime dramas?). It's not one that I can see myself getting THAT into, but definitely something I don't mind watching sometimes.

(How's this for fast turnaround of a reply??)

That's how I was with Without A Trace and Cold Case. I had no clue they (well, mainly WAT) would become a fandom obsession for me... lol. I mean, who gets like that about a freaking crime drama?? (Answer: A lot of us, apparently!)

Heh, well, I dunno about those shows, but I see NCIS like Bones where it's a "crime drama" but it doesn't exactly fall exactly into the mold. They're quirky shows you can LOL your ass off through and at the end you're not completely freaking out.

But like I said below, it helps that I'm not really into the online fandoms of these shows. Seems like that makes a show instantly a hundred times better. Fandom has really taken something away from Lost for me, especially the Skaters.

That's true about Bones -- from the little I've watched, it doesn't really feel crime drama-ish, more like a dramady that happens to involve FBI agents.

But I totally agree that the online fandoms can kill the buzz. The good thing about fandoms like WAT -- and probably NCIS -- (versus LOST) is that there's not really a Skaters vs Jaters dynamic happening. I've never, ever experienced anything like the Skaters anywhere else...
