let the games begin
Last weekend I had the pleasure of re-watching all of Bones season's one and two with kballgetlost. Marathons are always fun, but when you can marathon over 40 episodes of something and be able to say, "OMG, this one is SO GOOD!" before each one starts is a rarity. Ok Grayson? I liked fine up until the sleeping with Cam. I actually really liked him when he saw Angela and Hodgins kissing and the bells started ringing and he laughed and took it as a sign. I loved that whole scene actually.
Sweets is actually made of win....despite not really doing much constructive with the case, he was awesome.
Ok the Angela/Hodgins thing was waaaay to contrived and forced. Um suddenly they don't trust each other anymore? And suddenly Angela would care that Cam slept with a guy she barely knew in the first place? They were together way too long to throw in the towel over a little doubt brought on by what basically amounts to a drunken one night stand with legal consequences. Obviously they will get back together but I think the writers forced this one a bit too much and way too quickly.
Moving on, Booth and Brennan. Oh boy. They definitely had some great moments. The special conversation and her whole not sleeping with Ian because it would upset Booth....and of course the bridge scene. All good. Oh and Brennan DEFINITELY knew who Pritchard was referring to when she told her to climb Everest. I can see the fanfic now. Personally I totally think Brennan should go for it!
Onto Brennans sex life...I actually thought about this today while I was actively not paying attention in one of my classes. It DOES make sense that she'd have a very active sex life. First....she's hot, theres just no getting past that. I'd do her and I'm straight. Secondly, shes also not traditional about sex. For the most part she has always looked at sex as a natural biological urge that needs to be fulfilled. She doesn't need a deep and meaningful relationship or connection with every sexual partner she has. Sure Booth is slowly changing her mind on some things in regards to sex, but the fact is she is mostly every guys dream....hot and no strings attached.
My biggest complaint for this ep was that things felt a bit off...and I think it was mostly because there was waaay to much concentration on sex and talking about sex and everyone being sex addicts....and way too little actual caring about the cases. Especially Ian. There were a few moments of sadness and empathy towards Pritchard but none of them really seemed upset about the deaths. Normally we see more respect and just a general sadness for the victims but that was missing....along with professionalism from everyone but Clark...who I really don't blame for leaving, lol. I think the whole two hour London thing kind of threw off the show and I think the rest of the eps this season will feel more normal.
Ok and I HAVE to comment on the promo. I cannot stop watching the scene between Booth and Brennan in the care when shes talking about the deep sea welder guy....omg it cracks me up.
Brennan: "He can hold his breath for 3 minutes down there"
Booth (looks down there): "Underwater?"
Brennan (who also looks down there): "Of course!"
That whole exchange has me cracking up everytime! I can't wait for next week!! GAH!
