I love how a simple thing as rain caused them to share such an intimate moment - easy banter that reminded me their golf date or verbal copulation scene combined with underlying intensity of sinking... they found out some facts about each other but in the end that's not what's the most important - to me the most important was this connection that is almost palpable between them - it's as easy as breathing and they can't deny it, even if they don't understand it. I'm glad that here they embrace it not run away from it :). the last sentence? a perfect closure to this gem - it shows how mere Jack's presence heightens Kate's enjoyment of sunsets... eh, sometimes I just want to smack them - when will they acknowledge the fact that they're SO MUCH better together than alone? *sigh* that was wonderful. thank you :)
Jack's presence heightens Kate's enjoyment Just pulling that out as my favorite compliment of both my story and the show because it's true and I hate that some people can't see it. Him being there heightens her EVERYTHING (and vice versa).
Imagine this journey without Jack/Kate. It's not a journey worth taking.

exactly! with them everything is so INTENSE. it's like they're putting all of their essence in their interaction. like they're unable of doing/feeling anything half-way when it has to do with the other. I love it! comparing to it Kate's relationship with Sawyer seems to me shallow and lukewarm... no, I'm not biased at all, lol ;) you are TOTALLY right - this journey without Jack/Kate wouldn't be worth taking. at least not for me :) *squishes you back* :P

I see Skate arguements and they frustrate me not because I love Jack and Kate, but because people can look at the world in such a skewed way as to think an abusive relationship is healthy where one based on mutual trust, admiration and love is not
( ... )
*sigh* that was just perfect. Seriously, your fics are making the hiatus and jangst feel better. They are just so right for each other, everything between them is so right. *hugs* and I'm sorry you feel sick *more huggles*
lol, sick of work is the worst kind of sick :p but at least it makes you think of ways to make your coworkers lives hell which is fun, erm, that maybe only me, yeah *shuts up before more weirdness comes out*
and you know what, methinks you deserve a medal, or maybe a veeery big amount of chocolate =D =D
Love it! Simple and wonderful. I love the rain, especially watching it from somewhere dry :)
I cannot wait for them to have some nice, normal everyday conversations and moments again on the show. Everytime I read one of your stories I finish it thinking that I can't wait to see the exact same thing actually happen on the show. I hope I'm not setting myself up for too much of a disappointment....eek!
Thanks!! And I told someone else yesterday that I can't fathom them going to a more dark place than now, with The Others. What else about the island is left to be uncovered (except the Other Others running around in the jungle that the Others are trying to impersonate) so we have to get back to more 'season one' territory eventually. If not, I'll keep writing fic. :)
Aww, this was lovely. So Jate. I could definately picture this in s1. You write the characters so well, I think this was my favorite part: “You think I actually read those books my dad left me?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, her voice disappearing behind a chuckle. “I believe you did.”
“Well, I did,” he responded, one eyebrow rising quickly. “But after? I daydreamed about becoming a world famous baseball player.”

And thank you. Trying to ease the Jater Angst over the hiatus has become my mission, so I'm glad it's working!
