Just a quote from a fabulous story I got rec'd by Jade Okelani over on Portkey.org. It's called 'Infinity Moments.'
"Harry . . . are you all right?"
"No." Oh God! Why did I go and say that? Why?? Quick, think of something plausible; I'm tired from the long trip. Haven't had much sleep the last few days. Still feeling a bit muzzy from the bender I went on last night. There, lots of options to choose from. Just have to pick one as soon as she asks--
"What's the matter?"
"I want to kiss you."
THAT WASN'T ONE OF THE PLAUSIBLE OPTIONS!
