What's going on?
This is a post about what's going on in my life. A post about me.
We'll start obvi- and move on to more detailed things.
01. I work in NoVa, and live in Maryland. For the past year, I've really enjoyed myself. I moved here for two reasons: one- I graduated with a design BFA degree from Charlotte. So did like fifty million other people; there aren't fifty million design jobs in Charlotte... so something had to be done. two- my boyfriend, Jack, lives/d in Maryland. He graduated in 2004 and has a very nice job as a civil engineer. One of us had to move, so it just made sense.
02. I quit Starbucks in December. I worked there on the weekends, while maintainly my main source of income as a graphic designer for a best-practice research company. It was not very fun working seven days a week, and I could afford to not work there anymore. It's nice going to Starbucks everyday and wind up losing money instead of making it (that sounded better in my head).
03. I am happy. I'm not rich. I'm still in debt... but I'm happy. I can afford to pay all my bills, and decrease/maintain my debt, and have money left over for fun things.
04. I am going to Israel in August. My father, though nonpracticing, was Jewish; every Jew 26 and younger is eligible to go to Israel for free, courtesy of Jewish philanthropists. I inquired, and was approved. I will be going for 14 days, and get to ride a camel.
05. My boyfriend, Jack, is in a local band (www.NoCoRock.com). They just hired management, and I am their designer. Their new album comes out in April (designed by me). They will be famous. It will be awesome. I highly encourage you to give them a listen. All of their songs are downloadable on their website for free, however, they are also on iTunes for those kind souls that wish to purchase their music. Proceeds actually go to a band and not a record company (right now, anyway). They are playing Sonar in Bmore on Saturday. If you can't make it and are too retarded to figure out how to download songs, they are frequently on the Local Lix on DC101 (Sun 8-9 or 9-10, can't remember).
06. More recently (as in today), I lost my last fucking left contact. Dropped it; disappeared into thin fucking air. Zap... vap-o-rized. I need to find an eye doctor, soon than later it seems as of late... and dentist for that matter. The one I went to was a biatcha and tried to soak me which all these unnecessary things. So yeah. Need that.
07. I type using proper capitalization now; a job that requires this all day rid me of my slack-ass ways. It's not so bad.
I'm done talking for now... this definitely lost the luster I was going for.
