[She's definitely pinged, but after a year she can't quite identify who it is. She just... gets this creeping sense of dread at the sound of it. For the first time here in Johto, she's found someone who really and truly sets of her 'suspicious' sensors... Quickly:]

Have Fanny attack it, just a little, and then throw one of the balls you were given. Some of them like to have little wrestling matches, so don't worry about hurting it.

Not bad stealth, kid. That one's a wood element type--[Wait, wrong term.]--they call them grass types here. All the ones I've come across just heal themselves pretty well and not much else.

That's not the reason. They have elemental affinities. It works differently here than where I'm from but it's close enough.

My fish is a water type--it knows a water technique and I assume it will learn more as it grows.
