I came up with an idea to sort of introduce potential readers of this story/series to the characters, setting, and the basic idea of the story so that people know what to expect.
I'll be listing:
1. Main characters
2. Secondary characters
3. Main Settings
4. Main terms
5. The basic storyline
Important characters/places/terms will be bolded.
Please note that these descriptions are based on what I've written so far, which is what you'll be reading...when I post chapters with new characters to introduce, I'll do this again, adding the names of the new characters to this list, so basically you should be able to avoid spoilers at this point...unless you haven't read anything past chapter one. x.x So I'm going to put the name of the character/place/term in underline and say what chapter(s) it's mentioned in.
Azuralynn D'Crat- all chapters-
Azuralynn D'Crat, also known as Azura, is the main character and narrator of the story. Human, she was adopted as a baby by Alserius D'Crat, a Mystic Elder. She knows nothing of her biological parents. She is the apprentice of Alserius, living in Selestia, the hidden village in the forest of Anvar where young children are brought to be taught the ways of magic.
Azura is somewhat of a loner. Until one day when she is seventeen years old, she has very few friends, and even then she can hardly call them her friends. She meets a tiger named Sereven one day in the forest, who becomes her animal familiar. The first time they touch paw to hand, they become connected through magic and can hear and understand each other's thoughts.
Alserius D'Crat- all chapters so far-
Alserius is the fostr father of Azuralynn D'Crat. He is a Mystic Elder in the village of Selestia and trains Azura in the ways of magic. Having lost his wife when he was young, he adopted Azura after the death of her parents and took her to Selestia. Wise and very powerful, he helps to guide Azura along the path of her destiny.
Sereven- all chapters so far-
Sereven is a tiger, an animal familiar. He has been watching Azura for a long time, and waited until the right moment to reveal himself to Azura. Wise beyond his years, he has helped Azura begin to realize her destiny.

Prince Riordan of Anvar- chapters 2 through all so far
Riordan is the oldest of two heirs of the Kingdom of Anvar. He and Azura met one day in the forest, on top of the cliff looking out toward his palace. Azura chose to tell him about the hidden village of Selestia and bring him there. He was brought before the Elders to determine whether or not he'd be allowed to come and go from Selestia. It was decided that he would be able to stay.
Azura then invited Riordan to her birthday celebration where they began to see things about each other in different perspectives. After Zeriphan showed himself to the Council a few days (?- I forget how long it was) later, it was decided that Selestia would need to make an alliance to Anvar and finally reveal its presence to the King and Queen after they found out about Zeriphan's plan to attack the village. Azura, Rirodan, and Sereven were sent to Anvar to go before the King and Queen in hopes of forming an alliance and were successful.
Zeriphan- chapter four so far
Zeriphan appeared to the Elders of Selestia during a meeting, after they found that the Book of Soren had been taken. He told the Elders that they would have five days until the next full moon to get the book back before he became unstoppable.
This is not the first time that Zeriphan has stirred up trouble with the Elders; in fact, he is the one who started the first war that made the Elders choose to make the village hidden in the first place.
