Click to viewPortal now has an alternate ending seen above to prepare for Portal 2 which comes out later this year. From what I can gather it's set hundreds of years in the future and the main character is still Chell. Yeah figure that one out =p
There is a co-op mode which has two robots which kind of look like robots with arms and legs added to them...

Since Portal 2 is far into the future, the lab building is being overrun by plants making for a more organic look in the game.
I'm not sure what to think of the lab redesign yet... The original sterile background made me even more disturbed and frightened since the outside world was seemed so distant. Plus if this really is in the same world as Half Life would there be aliens and monsters everywhere? I mean I still haven't played half life 1 & 2 (guess now I'll really have to before this Christmas) I know there are a ton of monsters and Doom around. Or is everyone long dead?
At least it seems that the man behind the scenes lived past the end in Portal 1, so there should be new stuff on the wall and evidence of him around like this from game 1
...although I guess he's long dead too? And then why didn't you get to meet him in the first game? Also how the hell did GLaDOS live?, maybe the other robots put her back together? Like the party planner bot seen = heard in the vid above. One cool thing is that the personality spheres are around and you interact with them more, supposedly they'll help you... yeah sure.. "help". The spheres being around makes sense considering the final scene of the first game.
All in all I'm pretty psyched about this game, and for that same reason I'm worried. Will they really be able to recreate the awesomeness that was Portal? I really hope so, even though I'll be terrified for weeks afterwards again.. (6_6)
