It's Been A Year...But Hurts Like Yesterday....
All the worry, the sobbing, the fear...it's all just as painful now as it was one year ago today.
Last year, at around 9:15 a.m January 24th, 2005 we had our beloved Pekingese Danny laid to rest. I think about him every day. I see him in Ba-Ge in many ways...but I so desperatly miss my beloved baby boy Danny. The pain, is still deep. Losing him crushed me. He was an amazing dog. He had the soul of a wise man, the humor of a clown, and the spirt of a warrior. The boy would back down from nothing. And even towards the end, when he was unravleing...he kept his dignity. But he *knew*...the fight was over. We gave him 3 good years more with us...and it was time for us to help him KEEP his dignity. It was the hardest thing I have ever done.
Ba-Ge has been such a blessing for us. He is Danny's spirit brother we truly believe. But there is a deep, empty hole in our hearts, that no amount of tears seem to fill. I am so in love with my beloved Danny that it's like losing a child. Chyna, she just hasn't been the same. He was her soulmate.
Today, we will light another 7 day candle in his memory.
W will never forget you Danny.
