Love becomes sacred only when we give it without thought of return. It is not about using, or giving up. It is about sharing. Those that know that, know peace. The more we concentrate on what we are getting, the more we ruin what we give. To love fearlessly in the face of lovelessness is to fill the world with love- and live within it.

*smile* Very well put. I had to write that down. My biggest prayer is that I will learn to be selfless and that light will shine through me because by nature I am so self-consumed that it sickens me at times. But God is working and shaping and for that I can always be thankful. Thanks for that...really. :)

Hard as hell isn't it? But we try. I tell you this: Once I figured these bits out, though it's a struggle, every single day gets better. It's about seeing a situation and deciding to change your perception. Hard part comes when cynics and cowards call you a hippie for believing that way. :P

lol! Oh it sucks! I'd gotten awfully comfy in my own little world! Now I might actually need to get out of that little box and dare I say it...expand my horizons! You're lucky if you get called a hippie...I got called a "bible thumping bitch", I believe it was. But without the cynics and cowards, I don't think anyone would appreciate those that do love freely. But it certainly would make things easier without them at times... :)

I'm just a little too God centric for most people too. If it's not the Christian God it's Krishna. I have a spiritual mixed CD I play in my car every morning on the way to work- Jewish songs about Jerusalem, Gospel chorus, Hindu chants, Cat Stevens, even Gregorian Chants. It's beautiful stuff. Don't let anyone put that down. Doesn't matter what guise S/He/It comes in. Just that you see it when it's there.
