My Top 10 Favourite Romantic Moments Picspam

May 31, 2009 21:40

I was inspired to do this picspam because visonsbeyond did it, check out her awesome picspam HERE

This is my very first picspam, please be nice :D

10.TWILIGHT (2008)
(Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson)
I wasn't even going to do this, but hell, I couldn't help myself. I DON'T EVEN SHIP THEM. Of all the romantic parts in Twilight, I liked this one best, most people would probably disagree with me but its the expression on both their faces that I like. Its shock, fascination and maybe a little love? plus its some what the 'almost' official beginning of their relationship.

09.SPIDER MAN (2002)
(Toby Maguire & Kirsten Dunst)
I'm not gonna lie, I love this up side down kiss from Spider Man, considering Toby Maguire almost 'drowned' because water kept going up his nose. Nothing else screamingly spectacular. IT'S UP SIDE DOWN, IN THE RAIN. Need I say more? oh plus, he just saved her life. Very romantic. (not that Spider Man saving everyone's life is romantic but this is the girl he's very in love with) So don't pick on the nerds at school kids, he could be the next super hero.

08.LEGENDS OF THE FALL (1994)
(Brad Pitt & Karina Lombard)
This is one of mine and my mom's favorite movies, my mom always ends up near tears at the end. So she helped me pick this out. Thanks mom!. Once again, no actual contact, just great eye contact, some what love at first sight. Tristan (that's Brad, *sigh*) has just some home from a few years abroad getting over his brothers death. He comes home finds that the woman he loves had married his older brother but instead he meets Isabele 'two' who he's known all of his life but now she's a beautiful intelligent young woman. The picspam is the first time he sees her after he's just got back.

07.SENSE AND SENSIBILITY (1995)
(Hugh Grant & Emma Thompson)
Once again, my mom contributed to this idea and I had to put one at least one Jane Austen movie! (because their just romantic in such a lovely way) when Edward Ferrars and Elinor Dashwood are just beginning to know and understand each other, The Dashswood ladies have been some what left penniless because at the time fortunes went from father to son, not father to daughter. While Mr.Dashwood's son John Dashwood would be happy to give them a wealthy allowance but is stopped because of his rather bitchy wife Fanny, not to mention she also tries to stop Edward and Elinor's relationship. This picspam here, shows them just walking and talking while Fanny looks on unapprovingly.

06.COLD MOUNTAIN (2003)
(Nicole Kidman & Jude Law)
Good movie, good book. Great love story with a tragic end. This picspam here shows Ada (Nicole) coming back from getting her piano and is very proud of it while passing and having a quick chat with her neighbor Sally, who tells her that Inman (Jude) is clearing her field. Earlier on in the movie (if I recall correctly) Inman told Ada how he enjoys music because his mothe used to play the piano. Sally suggest Ada go over and say hello, she declines and decides to play for him instead. Romantic, in a settle sort of way.

05.ELIZABETH (1998)
(Cate Blanchett & Joseph Fiennes)
Oh, sweet sweet history. Apparently on Elizabeth's dead bed she called out his name "Robert" this picspam here is the beginning of the movie at Elizabeth (I guess) estate, she dances with Robert Dudley while Queen Mary's (Elizabeth's half sister) soldier's are on their way to arrest her for high treason. The music in this part of the movie is just stunning and makes it even more so romantic. Even though history's a bitch and their love story ends rather 'badly' this is non the less, one of the most romantic moments in cinema.

04.THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS (2002)
(Viggo Mortensen & Liv Tyler)
The whole Aragorn and Arwen relationship is simply pure bliss and very romantic, so of course they get a mention on my list! it was hard to pick which scene (and movie) I should put on this list, after some thinking, I decided I like this one best, when Aragorn is up thinking about Arwen and what she said to him before he left with the fellowship. The cinematography, the lighting, the epic painted back drops by Alan Lee and the chemistry between the two actors is just perfect (considering they were in hysterics haft the time) makes this scene, very very romantic indeed.

03.THE NEW WORLD (2006)
(Colin Farrell & Q'Orinka Klicher)
I adore this movie all up and its one of the most romantic movies I have seen with no words to explain it. I picked this part of the movie, which is the 'reunion' of Pocahontas and John Smith after not seeing each other since winter. The reason why this part is because I saw the deleted scenes on youtube and its AMAZING. Barely any dialogue what so ever, the music and scenery just blew me away, hence at no.3.

02.TITANIC (1997)
(Leonoardo DiCarprio & Kate Winslet)
For most of you this I guess would be considered no.1 on your list and honestly it came pretty close! really it did! (even my mom though it should be no.1) you all know why this is romantic, Jack and Rose the star crossed lovers (I know, I sound so corny right now) on board the biggest passenger ship at the time, separated by class but joined by their EPIC! love (ok, I'll stop sounding corny now) this has got to be my favorite part of the movie itself. I just love the fact that Rose trust him so much and that to me is also very romantic. Two people on the 'head' of a ship singing (can't remember the song...) and it looks as if their flying, please, don't tell me that's not romantic.

01.THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (2004)
(Gerard Butler & Emmy Rossum)
Ok, fine, so I'm very bias about my no.1 because it is my favorite movie...but you gotta adimit, isn't 'The Music of The Night' in itself a powerful and a tiny bit 'romantic' song since the Phantom is very in love with Christine and she in an odd sort of way is attracted to him and it shows as clear as day in this part of the movie. Once again, tragic end, but the Phantom was in love with her for the rest of his life. (in the movie anyways, in the book he dies of a broken heart) Love never dies I guess.

Well kids, that was my picspam! I hoped you enjoyed it!

cold mountain, the phantom of the opera, the lord of the rings, the new world, sense and sensibility, twilight, elizabeth, titanic, picspam, spider man
