The ending of Spring Break and the start of the school week
My Spring Break came to a very pleasant end. Friday I went to see "Bringing Down the House" w/Ben and attempted to go to Denny's w/Cameron and Joel, but didn't end up having time before I had to be home. I worked on Saturday, but soon I was able to meet my sister downtown and hang out w/her. Later Anna came and Jorge was suppose to b/c we were going to take him clubbing since he'd never been, but something happened w/his cell phone and we ended up losing contact. Anna and I took a taxi to Paradox, danced our asses off in the balcony thingys for a little under an hour, and left. We decided to walk up and down 6th street to see what was going on. Met a lot of interesting ppl... it amazes me how terrible guys are at picking up girls (not that
Anna nor I wanted to be picked up). Eventually went back to the dorms and had some drinks... went to bed at 5:30am. Anna and I got the dorm to ourselves b/c my sis slept w/her b/f and her roommate was out of town. Sunday I had to be home by noon and my sister came w/me. While I waited for Cameron to complete his chores, I made him a lunch b/c we had plans to go to Zilker Park. Got to Zilker, the weather was gorgeous, Cameron liked his lunch :D, and we just talked for hours. I then went home to have dinner w/the family. I took my sister back to UT and then Cameron and I went to Wal-Mart and back to his house to watch "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", which I didn't get to finish. I had to be home b/c there was school the next day :(
Monday wasn't so bad... didn't really have a whole lot of homework. I spent my day looking forward to my after school activities. Cameron and I shopped for about an hour at the mall looking for St. Patrick's Day boxers (which we did eventually find in Old Navy) and then he treated me to all you can eat barbeque. It was GOOD! Can't beat the County Line though! I promised to take Cameron there when I get enough money.
Today was rather dull... have a little more homework then yesterday. I was suppose to go to a soccer game, but then I remembered auditions were today. Abbie decided she didn't want to go anyway. Then later I found out that both auditions and the play were cancelled. This is driving me crazy!!!! I want to be in a fucking play!!!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow evening b/c I'm going to go see the Broadway production of Mamamia (sp?). I've never seen a Broadway show so I'm EXCITED! I hope one day I'll get to see many more actually in NY. I guess I should mention that Cameron is taking me to Buffalo Burger beforehand. Kind of skeptical to the taste of a Buffalo Burger, but he swears they're good. *gag* I'm so picky. At least it's healthier then a hamburger (but since when have I been healthy?) ;)
One last thing: I wasn't going to do this b/c I didn't want people to think I was bragging or rubbing things into people's faces, but several people have encouraged me to share the good news I received early this Spring Break. I've been accepted into UT and will be attending the College of Fine Arts, so that I can get a B.A. in acting. I'm also going to try and major in Psychology, but I haven't quite figured out what I need to do to get that to work. No, I was not in top ten percent. No my SATs and my GPA were not outstanding so we were all extremely worried I wouldn't get in. It's not very exciting to most ppl b/c (A) you're already in college or (B) you're my age and everyone's talking about colleges they've been accepted to... my acceptance isn't any more special. But I really wanted UT, so I'm thrilled. Now I have to look for a full time job for the summer so I can afford to live in a dorm! I REFUSE TO LIVE AT HOME ANOTHER YEAR!
Don't know when I'll get around to updating again now that I'm back in school, but this should suffice for now :) Take care ya'll.
