First: Happy National Day! Singapore has turned 46. How time flies~ It's another year again. I was in NZ during the last National Day.
Haven't been updating for ages again. Have been caught up with work these days. (Yes, work is still hectic as usual) But to be honest, I am still procrastinating a lot.
I am so glad that we got a sorta long weekend for National Day. Can't deny that these are one of the nice privileges you get as a teacher here.
So what has been going on these few months?
I had a nice getaway/vacation in Europe in June. It was a pricey trip but I'm glad I went for it. The weather was perfect (was windy most of the time) and there's the never-ending stretch of beautiful architecture.

Took my JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N4 in July. Kanji and listening was alright. I think I kinda screwed up the grammar section somewhere (oops). Not sure if I'm going for N3 end of the year but I think it will be too crazy. I can predict end of semester = pile of work for me to clear. I even considered stopping Japanese again for a while but yet I don't feel like stopping.
Back to our National Day again. We had a short celebration in school yesterday. Almost everyone was wearing red and white, including us teachers. This brings back much memories from our own school days.
The school preparing to dance to the song "Reach out for the Skies" (A National Day theme song used in 2005)
We also sang other National Day songs and had some quizzes and games. Simple celebration but fun still!
We had a friend who is going overseas as well, after our May-chan.
Sharon just left for NZ on Sunday. All the best, Sharon!
NT has just gone for a 2-week media camp overseas. Hope it will be an unforgettable experience for her! We baked some cookies before she left. Big fat chewy cookies! Too bad I don't have the picture with me now. They were pretty good, especially after freshly baked.
And now we come to my recent addiction:
Dragon Nest <3

I really enjoyed this game a lot. It's not your usual click-and-target MMORPG. It's totally action packed! And I think DN really has the one of the best voice-over lineup (the Korean ones of course). Still, I hope I won't be disappointed by limitations that will usually come up from a free, cash-shop based game. Open Beta in 16 August~
OK lastly, my ukulele. It's kinda abandoned... but finally took it out on Saturday and learned some beginner tips from NT. I did a simple practice with C and G yesterday. Not sure if I'm ready to take up classes yet with so many things going on already. It's really a busy year after all.
