Monday night I spent my evening watching the hilarious Toei Hero Next. It’s like the third of it’s installment, at least for the gekidan heroes series:
This sounds indeed interesting. It´s so hard to find anything these days where you can really laugh hard. Thanks also for the link to the DVD pre-order. Most likely -I suppose- there will be no subs for this one :-(.
Baba Ryoma I watch about a couple of years ago in a movie I liked a lot at our annual festival - called "An assassin". He was reall sexy in that one ^-^.
Stage subs are only ever fansubs so maybe someone from tenimyutopia or from tumblr would do the subs. I know a few friends who do stage subs but only I have interest in this stage so doubt they'd make the subs.
An Assassin was so good!! Baba Ryoma is a strange guy. I first saw him in moody and dark roles but in real like it's like he's on crack; he's crazy and never out of energy.
Cool you also like "An assassin". I really loved Baba in this and was a bit sad that I found very little to watch with him after that. A few years later they showed another of his movies on our film festival - this one: http://asianwiki.com/Ryusei_(Japanese_Movie) It wasn`t bad, but not a burner either.
I haven't seen that yet but I remember seeing posters and promos for it. He really is completely different to the types of characters he plays... he's mental! Awww I love him xD
He has a few more - like the Pervert Teacher - I think it was called (that was released last year and this year), and he has U-31 but I dunno if it'll get a DVD. Turns out TokiEnta only does limited runs on their DVDs for movies and such so might never get to see it =S
