Corpse Party: Book of Shadows
This is a sequel so if you haven't watched the first movie then probs don't go reading this. Unless you don't care then go ahead. Here's the review for the first movie.
This story is all about the survivors of the first movie, going back (and in time) to try and save everyone else. But this time, another group of school kids have decided to Sachiko-it too and so there's not about 12 of them trying to find a way out. We also have the protagonist's friend's sister, who had been searching for a way to sort it all out, tagging along.
I have to admit. About 50% of this film I was scared, heart racing, eyes covered, freaking out and then the other half I was either laughing or going 'hell yeah!' because omg the plot twist guys! The plot twist! I have to tell y'all! (see further down)
This was shot so well! The camera man's shots and the cinematography was so perfect and catchtured the beautifulness of the actors (IkeP, Atomu, Aoki) so well! Seriously, it showed off their handsomness <3
Seriously! Aoki was playing such a playboy / a perfect gentlemen and it was a little cringy but it fit him so well. I could NOT unseen Atobe when he was acting like that. And he was holding girls hands and pushing them away from danger. It was cute!
Atomu's role was a lot shorter but I liked his 'being a scaredy cat' act and his death scene, he acted it so well! Oh yeah spoilers; everyone dies. It's a horror movie! What you expect?!
And IkeP was just gorgeous. BUT there was a moment where he stood in front of our MC and touched her hand a little and I got all dokidoki <3 BUT omg the next second, the way screaming like a girl and running away and leaving the MC behind xD I found it both hilarious and very truthful, if somethings coming for me, I sure as hell ain't making sure I grab the person I like, I am RUNNING and not looking back! I really liked his end scene too. It was a little heroic. And he was so intelligent, figuring out who was behind the killings and stuff <3 But omg the amount of times he kept getting stabbed in the arm and at DIFFERENT times by DIFFERENT people was just hilarious also xD I am sad we saw him get killed... again!
About half way through, the original school friends and two survivors of the new school have gotten a hold of a tape camera and so they're looking to see if they can find the ghost or see what her tracks are like. And at this point, it turns out (as shown on video) it was Aoki's character who was killing off his schoolmates! I was like 'holy shit this just turned psycho-killer-movie! YES!!!' and the way he changed. Like as they were watching the video, he stepped back and then when they see him on the recording, the look behind and he's so cooly taken his school jacket off to show his bloody uniform and his facial expresses go from high school heart throb to psycho killer crazy eyes! The transition was beautiful! OMG it was so good and THEN when he's stabbing Atomu repeatedly, he just looks straight at our MC (and camera) in the eyes with his eyes lit up and this EVIL smile. OMG it was so perfect! The best plot twist and reveal ever! OMG...
I didn't like how our MC, when she was being chased by Aoki towards the end, went down the corridor and then stayed there, trying to hide. Are you stupid?! Freaking RUN! And of course he caught her and cut her. And then another part; he's still trying to find and chase her and she's so slowly walking into this room and towards the Book of Shadows and it's like 'wtf?! that wouldn't happen! You'd be running and you'd grab that book so fast so you could return!' just annoyed me how SLOW she moved sometimes. You just wouldn't.
Now the ending... was MESSED up. So the MC is the only survivor and she's brought back to the real world after finding the book of shadows; she asks the book to bring everyone back and then all of a sudden she hears everyone's voices coming down the corridor so y'all think all is swell right? Ah hell no! This THING which was made up of their limbs and eyes and bodies coes crawling into the classroom. OMG it was disgusting and terrifying. And that's where it ends! Also the book like pours of blood and laughs! OMG...
Also at the cinema there was a SIGNED poster from the cast! And we were allowed to take pics <3

Also the cinema was advertising Article 9! Which has Baba, Takachan, Makichan, Aiba, some seriously great stage actors! So I'm defo gunna try and see it too!
Overall: This was scary. It's a horror, what do you expect? But I was SO impressed with the plot twist and the cinematography and how gorgeous everyone looked! Aoki defo stole the show! But that ending was messed up!
