Quickie Review of 君の夢 ぼくのユメ

「君の夢 ぼくのユメ」is just a crying song... And it's really not the best they've done..... It's pretty meh to be honest but this is only my first listen through opinion.

Which is disappointing cos it's like their LAST song but we had two amazing singles before this so really can't complain.

Nice hearing a three-nin though.

I still need to find a rip. Considering everything that's happened though, a "crying song" seems appropriate. Wasn't expecting anything amazing for a song they're adding on to the album either. I'm personally shocked we even got a 3-nin song, so I'll take what I can get. I'm expecting they'll perform it during the tour too.

We'll have to wait til after the hiatus before they give us any really good stuff. :/

Ah, you're right. it is pretty meh. Taguchi's absence is glaringly obvious too. He was a pretty integral part of their lower register and harmony. I knew losing him was gonna suck, but DAMN.

*sighs* Well, we'll get to hear them do other songs as 3-nin when the lives start, hopefully those songs fare better. We'll hear snippets when the news coverage comes out, and I wouldn't be surprised to find fan-recordings either (there always are...Hyphens are sneaky, lol)

I don't think Junno's absense is obvious. I just think it's a.... not a great first 3nin song to start with. With their dynamic now, they're better off going more rock than pop/ballad. Don't you think?

But yeah I am so looking forward to how they manage to 3 nin all their songs as well as what the song list will be like! Unfortunately they're doing two other shows before Tokyo so the song list will be spoilered before I get to the cons xD

Well, it's obvious to me because my fangirl ears have been trained to pick him out :P It'll take a while to untrain that >.>;

And yeah, a ballad was a terrible choice. A rock or pop song would have been best. I hate to say it, but they should have taken a page out of NEWS book and done something in the same vein as, say, "Full Swing". Granted, NEWS didn't do that song til after they came back from hiatus, and they all turned into sobbing messes the first time they sang it live (I love that concert, it's still my favorite of theirs). I'd say maybe KAT-TUN should do something like that when they come back, but they would probably do something along the lines of "Phoenix" again, cause that's more their style.

I mean I can tell it sounds different cos he's not there BUT it doesn't necessarily mean the balance/song is bad BECAUSE he's not there. It's just not the best song whether he was there or not.

Yeah they should've done something upbeat to make fans feel hopeful about the hiatus xD

Yeah Pheonix, JET, RAY, Star Rider, LIPS, these are all the songs they're better suited for. And tbh I prefer them too.
Yes, it's nice when they sing ballads at the concert (they only tend to do one or two most anyway) because you can feel the emotions but I never listen to the versions from the singles and albums.
