Bakuman Review
Watched this today!! =]
OMG this movie was amazing! It's OVER two hours and I still wanted more!! Btw, I've never read the manga so I have nothing to compare to... But DAMN!!! I freaking loved this!!!
The acting is great - Sato and Kamiki have amazing chemistry between them! It helps that I've seen them in loads of interviews together lately xD and someone wrote this is the THIRD time they've worked together (I know they did Rurouni together, does that count as two things?) and you can tell they get along well. You can tell in their interviews too! Btw, their personalities are completely different to what I thought they'd be like but it's surprising in a good way xD They are the complete opposite of what I thought they'd be like in real life xD back to the rest of the actors!!
Of course Sometani (I like how he protrayed this character and I'm assuming the hunched back and use of English is a trait of the original character and I bought it!), and Kiritani and Yamada were perfect too!
The comedy was so good. I think I laughed the most cos even simple Japanese sarcasm and stuff gets me laughing, but I did hear others giggle at times xD
The cinematography was spot on - seriously this director has it going on! *searches* The director is Oone (another OO?! Like Oono and Obata; the peope who MADE the manga?! xD Oo!!! << I've just made myself piss myself with that silly joke) Hitoshi... Ooo he did TRICK, Akihabara@DEEP and Mahoro!
The CGI was amazing. The manga battle CGI scene was just immense! So yeah major kudos for the graphics.
Also, the music made it so perfect! The music and sound was great (the sound of the pens drawing made me shiver all the time!).
I thoroughly enjoyed this film!!!!
The only reason it's lost one point is: I wanted more so MAYBE this would've been better as a dorama but damn, I wanna rewatch it right now and I've only just finished watching it!! xD The only other picky downside is I felt the beginning and set up dragged a little, but that's honestly not major at all.

Overall Thoughts: OMG this was so good!!!! Probably second best movie of the year! The acting, story, music, sound, cinematography, CGI was all amazing!! I wanted so much more! Wish it'd been a dorama, hence the one point being knocked off. This is great! I haven't read the manga so I can't compare but for me, I freaking loved this!! ^_^ And of course I cried twice xD
