Age Harassment Episode 2 Discussion: WTF does 'Itai Person' Mean?!

Jul 19, 2015 15:57

Episode 2 is now up for discussion!! And it contains me being completely confused xD

As always the spoiler section is under the cut and a non-spoiler version is at the bottom of the post! =]

She got no discipline after that?!
Ooo she leaving?! Hmmmm...
I can't decide if the old woman is a bitch or not! Is she just being fake nice to Emiri?! I don't get her at all!!
She's 47?!?!? Thought she was in her 50s! o_O Japanese women never look that old in their 40s!
OMG all the men are the worse! And I think it's rather perverted that all their attention is on her because she's young.

AWWWW He's wearing the outfit from his blog!! ^_^
What the fudge is 'イタい'?! o_O *googles* Someone says it's when a couple can't see anyone else but each other in say like a busy area... Other says it's when you can't understand your partner or friends actions then you are an 'Itai Person'. When your way of thinking and actions are odd.
Another is, when you can't seem to follow what others are doing. So kinda like a KY person? Another say its just another word of calling someone an idiot... Hmmm I don't get it! ='[
O turns out the woman on screen explains it... kinda? "An 'Itai Woman' has confidence and doesn't hide her age even though (I am literally just translation this off that bat) they don't look their age. Which is weird! Yet you have the enthusiasm to think that young people can't see your true age."
I still don't get it...
Oh jesus you are NOT telling me that mother is gunna suspect Emiri! Fucking hell! He only just really met Emiri today! He's only talking to her about work! Not again, jesus christ.
I don't get Asians seriously. I don't get how if you're not married by 30 you're a failed woman and I don't get this whole 'women after 25 are not longer women' what the fuck?! So you're saying I only have 3 years left until I'm not longer desirable to the opposite sex? Bollocks! Most people nowadays are still steaming hot in their 40s!
Ooooo the 47 year old has balls =]
Ah jesus that bitch put in a complaint just cos her husband spoke to a fellow colleague who just happened to be 22?! WTF... if you're gunna have an age complex when you're old cos you're dating a man younger than you then don't get fucking married to him! Don't put him through such shit as well as yourself!
21:41ish pissed the boss pat the woman on the shoulder like he did will his male colleague. Women aren't that sensitive to filling sexual harassment complaints!! Although in Japan they could be... that was stupid.
Seemingly an 'Itai Man' has (quoting Seto's line) 'You're gotten to a good age but you still wear the same type of clothing you wore when you were younger and work out'
I still don't get it!!! ='[
So I asked my friend was 'Itai person' means and she put (translating): Negative meaning for 'crazy' or 'loopy'. It's a word young people use instead of 'That person's weird'. And because it's such a harsh word, defo don't use it infront of the person.' Now I get it! xD
Her husband is horrible to her, like he cared enough to tell her to go to the hospital is she's 'hurt' and he clearly loves their daughter but he's more focused on his bugs than his wife -_- I can kinda understand her having an affair cos he doesn't pay much attention to her but still affairs are the worst! Just divorce him!
O jesus that slag of a woman, Masuda's wife, is here.
Oooo here comes Emiri's burst of anger!
She told him off!
Now that other bitch is gunna get jealous cos her affair partner is gunna get interested in Emiri but I bet he's only interested in her views and not in a romantic way!

Overall Thoughts:
Still can't decide whether Emiri's boss is being a fake nice person and is actually a bitch, or if she's genuinely being nice to her! This episode was okay. I found myself feeling it's slow paced and it's definitely not up there with MG. The show makes me rather angry but I'm assuming that's what the writers want you to be and so it creates discussion and such between the people who watch the show and hopefully spark people to change their ways. I can't help feel though that while it's trying to be 'pro-women', it's also possibly trying to just make women look like the bad person, and could potentionally create the image and thought-process that women are the ones in the wrong =/ let's hope it doesn't continue like this!
