Transformers Prime thus far...

Um... possible spoilers?

Humourous in places... and yet all i can seem to think is: Robot zombies, really?

Of all the things they could have done they chose ROBOT ZOMBIES. I'm completely stuck on that point and i don't think i can convey exactly how LAME the whole idea is. Guess they decided that if zombies sell and robots sell than robot zombies will have to be brilliant? Either way it seems pretty... out there... even for a TV show about giant transforming robot aliens. (So not only are the zombies robots, they're robot alien zombies... ugh... can they transform?)

Also, the more i see of Miko the less i like, in fact it's already getting to the point where she is reaching my 'will someone please just squish this' list. Jack is heading the same way, he just irritates me. Whiny little teenage boy, hey kid, grow up and deal, don't whine. Raf seems to be the only, 'yeah ok i can live with you' human character.

Although Fowler had a few good moments with Starscream and afterwards and has gone slightly up in my esteem... but only slightly.

On another note... i love Starscream i really do. When the toys come out i am SO getting one of him. Not because he's got a cool design (because i'm still on the fence about that) but because i just LOVE his personality. His interractions with Soundwave "I'm not deaf" (lol) and the smarm he gives Fowler... i'm seriously loving him. Even when he's groveling he rocks!

Ratchet is also going to join my collection, and for the same reasons. I'm wondering if the whole "I NEEDED that" thing is going to become a running gag because seriously i've giggled the times he's said it before, his expression at the time has just rocked. Also "no point in long goodbyes here's the door" that right there showcased his personality brilliantly and i'm loving it!!!!

Megatron is growing on me now that he's not just acting completely psycho and seems to be actually thinking.
'
Wish i could say the same for Prime... he's just... bland. Oh his battle thing with the zombies on earth was cool, but he's still bland.

Soundwave is interesting and i giggled like crazy over his tentacles. Maybe i just have a dirty mind. It doesn't matter that he doesn't have a face or actually speak, he just seems to work like that.

Bulkhead and Arcee have their moments where i'm impressed and then they just sort of fade back into the background for me. Much as i love Bumblebee, he's kind of the same. Yet, I'm thinking that's partly because there's been NO character development with him... at all. Arcee's had her spotlight time and even Bulkhead had moments where he was developed but Bee is just there.

Maybe they're finding it too difficult to develop a character that doesn't speak? I'm still not overly impressed that he can't speak to be honest but there ya go. I'm hoping they'll develop him more as the episodes continue because i like his design and i've liked what we have seen with him and want to see more.

The combat scenes have been pretty well done IMO, they're not too corny and not too out there, they're actually somewhat believable. Most of the graphics are not too bad as well. I can't claim to be an expert on that sort of thing, they look good so i can accept the fact that some of the designs don't really appeal to me.

Am i the only one that's noticed that movement in the larger Autobots seems to be really slow and awkward? Ratchet i've noticed a few times lumbers around as though he's not used to walking or that he has to be careful so he doesn't step on a weak spot and fall through the floor or something. Even Bee and Arcee seem awkward...

So... i'll continue watching because it does have some entertainment value and I'm curious to see where they plan to go with it.
