grrrrr

When I turned my laptop on today, it did the same thing with the LCD monitor while booting up that it did in this (friends-locked) post from a little over a year ago. (Without the YouTube part or the updating Firefox part, just the weird monitor.) I can more accurately describe it as "slowly turning white, with some grayish patches, one pixel at a time", not so much "buckets of paint being thrown on it from behind". It seemed to go back to normal, and it went to the login screen and I was able to put in my password and log in, but while it was loading it did it again and it froze so I had to do a hard shut-off and wait and turn my laptop back on again, and it didn't do it the second time. It did this around a year ago but had stopped doing it, so I thought it was fine until just now. I did some Googling and according to the wise and powerful Google oracle it's either a loose connection, a burned-out graphics card (but I don't do any heavy gaming so I don't know if that would be it) or the monitor itself is burning out, but it's working right now, obviously. Anyway, last year it would just randomly and spontaneously do it for about a month or so, and I'd have to turn it off and then turn it back on again and it would be fine for a few hours, and then it would do it again, lather, rinse, repeat. Like I said it stopped doing it for about a year or so and just randomly decided to piss me off today when booting up the laptop.

laptop, my electronic stuff is being douchey
