Infest 2006
Had a great time at Infest 2006. Heres the story...
Laura did my hair on Thursday night, then i had only a few hours sleep before i had to get to the train station for 5.20am. Laura and myself eventually got ourselves to London Victoria where we met up with Nina, Rik, Becca, and Hazel. We found our Megabus, and off we went towards Leeds.
Once we got to Leeds, me and Laura had to go on a detour to Sheffield, as the person we were supposed to be geting sweets from let us down, luckily we could get some in sheffield.
So getting to bradford was later than expected, but we got there around 6.30/7pm. Went straight to Arkwright halls, which were pretty good- double bed, en-suites, excellent!
As for the bands, well.... I really enjoyed most of the oens i saw...
Lab-4 were excelent, despite a sound problem in the middle of the set.
Rotersand were really good!!
Was really looking forward to seeing Stromkerm, but only managed to catch the last song, which was excellent- just wish i had managed to get there half and hour earlier!
Really enjoyed Wai Pi Wai- a great discovery from Infest this year!
....And what can i say...... FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY......... HOW FUCKING EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!.... I had only heard one of their albums in the past and wasnt that blown away, but seriously, seeing them live was just so amazing!!!!
Other memorable events from the weekend:
*The Pineapple... AKA Elvis Shania Minelli Presley, who jumpped out the window
*Wild Boar Burgers, instead of Ostrich burgers
*Angel Slices (NINA...LOL)
*After paries in our bedroom in halls
*New entries in the "wise book" (looks at emily...."I just have to look at you to laugh")
*Charlies Angels, and Vogue with Charley hehehe
*The magical lift which goes down into the green forest
*Random Parties in Kitchens and bedrooms in Halls
And much more which i cant seem to remember right now lol.
Such a great weekend of fab bands, music, and freiends. I shall leave you with some photos from the weekend......
