Freaking nuts!
The weather this past week has been just that. Freaking nuts!
That ice storm sucked big kahoonies and I lost out on 12-14 hours this week. Granted I got to make some of it up today which really really sucked. Both the weather and getting called into work kind of sucked the life out of Valentines Day for us. We were both looking forward to it and then pfft... work happened! :(
First let me say that he has been without power since Tuesday. He still managed to leave for Stateboro to visit his best friend Thursday night and made it back in time to take me out to lunch today. Because of all the power outages we weren't sure what all was open so we ate at Veracruz. You can't go wrong with Mexican. lol. I totally enjoyed our lunch but I wish I could have spent more time with him one on one. :) Both of us got called in early so we went in after lunch and then I got suckered into closing. In all honesty we were just going to hang out at his grandparents and play cards, board games or watch a movie all cuddled up on my phone... in the cold. Didn't matter to me so long as I got to spend time with him. lol
Bummed that it didn't happen but there was a good reason behind it. The manager that was supposed to close had to be taken to the ER by ambulance earlier in the day - no word on how he's doing. That and the GM is having marital issues with his wife because of all the time he's had to spend at work lately instead of at home with his family. Not my problem, I know, but he's been a good friend of mine for a few years now and I didn't want him to lose his wife over having to spend all of Valentines at work. He thanked me from the bottom of his heart which is... it just feels weird on some level. I feel bad for him because she can be such a bitch but I know he loves the crap out of her. He SO owes me for this though!!!
Corey actually brought me dinner after he got off. He wasn't mad and he understood what was going on because I guess Rob talked to him about it. Truth be told he didn't have to bring me dinner even though he wanted to... I would have settled for a hug and a kiss before he left but I couldn't really get up and step outside long enough to get one. I'm going to have to figure something out to make it all up to him... even if it means having to sit through the X-Men movies at some point. :)
Oh... and don't you even dare ask what his intentions are! From what I can tell and from what our mutual friends have said they're definitely pure. :)
