i have a new job.

pros and cons.

pros:
my new position will make my resume look better

better chance to step up to an even better position

uhm...

ill have more knowledge on the store

after being "on-call" i will have the night-short position in the womens department

cons:
i wont be in an office

i wont be able to do my homework

ill have to learn soooo many new things

being directly in public scares me

ill have to be nicer to customers

ill have to care a little more

my hours MIGHT be cut...seeing as though i am now "on-call" as opposed to part time...actually, my hours WILL be cut...

on-cal= they call you when they need you. to start off ill prolly still have a lot of hours since they need me out there, one of the reasons why im getting transfered to there.

who knows when ill be changed to night-short

k...so i really had no other choice but to take the job because cheri said they needed me out there and that im over-qualified to work in gift wrap.hey...i never complained! but i guess its for the best. >sigh<

so now im even MORE torn!!! if by miracle i do find a place to live in santa rosa i cannot be transfered there. i asked. if i go home i wont be able to be transfered to the macys in riverside. i asked. there is no guarantee that i will have a position upon coming back to school if i go back home...i have to call 2 weeks before i come back to see if anything is available.

the closer that may 13 comes to me the more i think that i will not be able to handle staying up here. for various reasons.
1- im broke as hell.
2- the places are more than i can afford to pay
3- unless i can get a room in someone's house and even then...
4- uhm homesick?
5- yeah summer= those i love will be far far from me
6- something tells me summer in norcal is not really summer

its more than anything the money thing. cuz if i felt that this was the right thing...the COMPLETELY right thing to do, then i will be willing to move on from the life i once had to start a new life up here. but honestly as much as it would be great for it to work out, i dont think i will be able to live up here, at least not for another year. ive thought about this rationally and the best thing to do would be to save up as much money as possible to not be struggling right off the bat. yanno? im not too worried if i can't get my job back here at macys at the end of the summer. yeah its gonna suck because i love this job and the people i work with, but i am confident that there will be better things out there for me. plus, the HR manager told me that they dont want to lose me, so im sure that if they really wanted me to work here, in the long run it would work out...if i didnt have a position after summer.

plus theres the ticking of the clock for the campus housing...omg what to do there! pay the 250 i guess...oh another thing is the convenience factor. same thing applies i am willing to commute if i felt it was right. but i just...im just not feelin it. the confidence i had is slowly deteriorating. i guess my parents are right. they always are. i just wish they could be nicer about it. but oh well...free housing and good food here i come?
