Apartment Encounters
“Lois? What are you doing here?” Chloe questioned as her cousin came through the door. Lois had spent the night at the farm and should have been well on her way to the Daily Planet.
“Well I was halfway out of town when I realized that I had to go to the little girl’s room. So homeward bound…” she said as she dropped her bag on the floor near the door.
Chloe had to shake her head at her cousin. “Lois I swear I have told you a million times to use the bathroom before you leave the house.”
Lois moved deeper into the apartment. “Thanks mom. Well I’m here so c’est la vie.”
Chloe moved forward to block her path and said “Umm… actually you can’t go in there.” She glanced nervously back at the bathroom door.
Lois hopped on her feet a bit trying to distract herself from her bladder. “What? Why?”
“ummm…” Chloe glanced back at the door and tried to decide what was right to tell Lois. “My friend is in there and you can’t see them.”
“I can’t see them?” She made a move to go to the bathroom.
Chloe stood resolutely in front of her. “Yes …. They are a client of Isis. And they need to keep their identity secret.”
“Isis client?” Lois repeated.
“Yes. I promise them a safe haven. I’m sorry Lo but I can’t let you in there.”
Lois shot her a quizzical look.“Alllllrrrriiight…”she drew out the word “I guess I can use the Talon’s.”
Chloe sighed in relief and Lois took two steps back toward the exit. She could only watch with horrified eyes as Lois took a quick turn and sprinted to their bathroom.
Lois burst through the door. Before her eyes was Oliver tugging on his Green Arrow vest to complete his outfit with his tights. “Ollie what a surprise!! Wet tights must be pretty uncomfortable.” He sent her a rueful look.
Lois turned and faced her cousin again. “Really cuz? I’m an investigative reporter.” she said disbelieving. Chloe and her attire of towel alone was a huge hint that her ‘friend’ was actually her no-so-secret lover. Lois couldn’t resist the urge to tease them one more time. “Although I have to commend you for going green.”
Oliver answered her verbal quip with a bark of laughter. She strode towards the door without another look back at them.
A/N:So did you enjoy my fic that was my return to writing??? I thought it was the perfect light hearted/funny come back. Originally i was going to have Chloe using AC as a cover but it really didn't make much of difference plot wise. So I went the more simple route. haha
Some of you may be like why would Chloe lie about Ollie being there? The cat was out of the bag there was no need to hide their relationship after that weekend getaway. In my head, Oliver had so thoroughly sexed her up that she couldn’t think (coughBeaconcough). LOL and she reverted back to what they had done in the past. I hope you didn’t mind the OCness. That is all.
I should be able to pound out one more before I have to work tonight. So stay tuned!!!
