I am Home.
I'm at HOME, finally Connected (online), and finally trying to catch up on tons of email! I finally got my car back, packed up & left Virgina. It's been a crazy few weeks. Had a nice little road trip on the way back... went to Monticello (Jefferson's House) & Ash Lawn-Highland (Monroe's house). Drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway (looooooong, but beautiful), to Ashville, North Carolina. Went to the Biltmore Estates once again, bought some wine, toured the gardens, took pictures.. then on to SC. Drove to Hilton Head, South Carolina to visit one of Joc's friends Krisi. Had dinner with her family, Saw the East coast!, and went on a Dolphin Cruise!!!! ***sigh*** so many beautiful dolphins. Next day drove to Savannah, Georgia. Had never heard of this place, but it was the cutest city! I'm not sure what it was about it, but it was a great little place! Had Pizza.. at what I can probably say was the best little pizza joint I've found.. Vinnie Van Go-Go's!! There wasn't much to it..but the atmosphere was great! Went on a Trolly-tour of the town, walked down River Street, bought some of their famous Pralines (delicious candy)...and then headed for Chattanooga, TN. Just stayed there so we didn't drive too much.. then headed to Memphis the next day. In Memphis, had dinner at the Hard Rock, and of course.... went to see Graceland. Lots of Elvis souveniers to choose from! Next day, headed for Hot Springs, Arkansas. That was also a lot of fun. Went on a Duck Tour, hehheh.. land & water... then just walked around the town. Found a kool little shop with very interesting things... went a bit overboard there... then had a long chat with another store owner who thought it was great that we were on this road trip. We were there for about an hour chatting away! heheh.. Didn't take us too long to get home the next day.. and now that I'm here.. I'm glad I left Virgina/DC. I liked it there..but I reallllly missed Dallas... my family... friends...home cooking! I almost forgot to mention.. we stopped at every Cracker Barrel we found on the way home!!! Delicious food!!!!! I've also been eating the best food at home.. Mama's!!! lol It's soooo relaxing here.. I'm really liking not having a job! lol.. Too bad I haven't won the Lotto or I'd seriously consider retiring! lol Oh well.. got a couple of months before I need to reaaaally get a job. lol Well.. gotta get to bed... will update more later.
