And you've met MD! Worf! OMG, that's so cool. You must spill the deets sometime! He's a lot shorter than he looked on ST:Next Generation. (Jonathan Frakes is substantially taller than he is.) And he's not terribly funny, but he's a total sweetheart who loves his fans and loves Klingon lore. And his voice is just like buttah. I did not flirt with him the way I did George Takei, but George is just SO flirtable. It's impossible NOT to flirt with him. God, I miss Trek conventions so bad - maybe in the future we'll actually get the Quinto at some of them! Eeeeee!
Peter looks utterly devastated at the end. He's lost everything. Except Angela. And Claire. And this ought to be REALLY interesting, seeing as Claire also seems to be invested in keeping Angela around. My poor baby.
I know I've idealized Nathan a little Yeah, me too... but on the other hand, like Pete (hello, Luke Skywalker!), I can't help but see the good in him. I want him to skew toward his nobler, more compassionate side - but... I guess that's not how it is. But as long as he loves and protects Peter, every other bad thing he does is OK - but tonight he threw it away. He THREW PETER AWAY. And that's what breaks my heart.
Sylar owned everyone tonight. That was a star-making turn. If anyone had any doubts about his talent, this episode ought to have gotten rid of all of that. He is the master of being simultaneously hilarious and incredibly scary. That's hard to do, and yet he is in firm command of his cheese. Well DONE sir.
I haven't seen it, I'm afraid... I was going to set up a weekend where I'd watch the whole series in one sitting, but of course, I no longer have free weekends. :(
You flirted with George Takei? You little minx. Oh, he started it. Well, not really. :)
But the way he treated Peter was so contrary to what we've seen from him before. I still can't deal with it. Nathan actually beat Peter up. That is so fucked. We've never seen him raise a hand to Peter before under any circumstances, let alone giving him a beatdown with a steel pipe - and seemingly really enjoying it. That just upsets the hell out of me. It's so OOC that I am genuinely thinking "That wasn't him; there's someone else driving." It's Heroes; this is not impossible, although changing a character's whole approach to life isn't, either. I am just going to cling to my delusion that Nathan's under someone else's subconscious control until I know otherwise...
