Yes, Nathan can be awful - and at this point he's so much getting everything he wants as soon as he wants it, be turns into a right bastard. But he's MY bastard and I love him, so...

I'm glad it worked. It turned out a lot hotter than I'd feared it was going to be. It's one of the only Ritual stories where they really don't kiss very much, and being quite a girl myself, kissing is pretty important to me. The lack of it means something...

Okay, so this was hot. Naturally. Is there a moment in the Ritual series that isn't brilliantly "guh?" The answer is no, class.

Also, the thing about the Maker's Mark made me laugh because it isn't cheap by my crowd's standards (my mom is actually an official ambassador of the stuff so she can get discounts and Christmas specials), but yes, I can see Nathan scoffing at it.

I love Maker's Mark. It's my standard - if I go to a bar, and can afford it, and no cocktail sounds good to me (increasingly the case) I have a shot of Maker's, neat. I can rarely afford to buy a whole bottle, even though it's more cost effective than actually going out for it, and I drink it up pretty fast. I'm a bourbon enthusiast, but I know lots of scotch drinkers, and they've been good for research for Ritual, since Nathan's all about his single malts.

Good! That's the whole purpose of the series, so yay. And this is such a "fluff" piece - I wanted to write a story about Nathan and Peter's average encounter once Peter's all grown up (in a sense; Peter's still not grown up, and he's died - what is it, four times now?...). I wasn't breaking any new ground here whatsoever.

I hope so too - I'm skirting around the big installments that will eat my brain, but I will definitely need something to keep me going through the long hiatus, so I'd rather deal with them then.

I wish I had some Maker's right now... but I'll make do with what I have.

So I've read this fic thus far and finally decided to comment.

This is my favorite Nathan/Peter fic I have ever read. I just love all the tiny detail you use, and the funny quotable things like, "You must really like pipes." I'll randomly walk around and say things like that and people are like, "What?" and I just giggle.

You have an amazing style of writing, that is different than anything I've read before.

Can't wait till the next part.

I thought it was pretty goddamn cool, really. Very satisfying, even though they padded it out with clips at the end. Oh well, Nathan has the power to bring on a clip montage with his voice. ^_^
