episode 2.10
I confess to feeling more than a little dismay. Maybe this time, I'll actually watch the previews, because I'm grasping at straws to try to feel better about things... but I kinda don't want to; the element of surprise is one of the things that I love most about the show.
Sure, some lovely bits happened, several of them parallels to scenes from last season - Bennet waking up in the same condition as Sylar did last year, Claire scattering ashes the way Mohinder did his father's, Sylar's call to Mohinder (and Mo's look of dismay), Alejandro biting it finally, Sandra and the gun on Bob, Victoria ventilating Adam and Peter (my happiest moment, actually - I was practically slavering for Peter to get a few slugs to the midsection by then), Elle fumbling with her Slurpee, Monica's touch of parkour, any glimpse of Nichelle Nichols - but in general I feel like there was a whole episode missing that they refer to in passing. And more plot holes than a tree-planting party.
I miss Nathan. I miss Angela. I miss secretly clever Peter. I miss my show full of payoffs and complexities. Hell, that show was on last week. Where did it go? Will this season really end up having only two good, hit-'em-out-of-the-park episodes?
What can be done?
