a quick, semi-pointless status update
Working on Ritual (22). It is substantially longer than (21), which is taking me by surprise - but that often happens when I write stories that are Nathan-centric. There's just so much going on under the surface with that guy.
I'm going to be out of town this weekend, and I am considering taking my laptop so I can keep working on the story while I'm in transit. I may leave the machine at home, though, and instead continue writing Ritual (22) longhand on paper, then transcribe it when I get home on Monday, while I'm waiting for the next episode to come on. Let's see how that works. I hate writing longhand; I'm not used to it anymore and now my hand cramps and I get really frustrated.
Or there's always the possibility that I will just finish writing the story tonight, just to avoid that scenario; I have to get up early to meet friends for breakfast before I jump on a train, but it's not like I have to be alert for work or anything. If I'm a sleep-deprived zombie tomorrow, my pals are just going to have to deal. GOTTA WRITE THE RITUAL!
I have all of next week off, which means that I can almost definitely write and post at least one more story, probably more. I love how I'm like "Vacation? Sweet! That means I can stay up till 5 a.m. writing every night!"
EDITED: Actually, I'm not going out of town this weekend - I am really just too sick for that to be a smart idea. I've been fighting off a nasty chest-and-sinus cold for the last week or so, and I think I just lost. So... yeah... lots more to come.
