-the 'hearing' of Peter's thoughts w/o Peter realizing
-the obvious rough sex and the ball play in the other scene; it was as if he'd never sucked balls before...like he did it with a kind of curiosity and wonder at Pete's reaction? Or am I taking it too far?
-the panic-attack; Peter leaving. that seems like Sylar to me. just because he's not used to that kind of companionship/love
-the scene in the latter bit where Nathan returns and is confused but knows he should return to Peter because he's on the level when he's near his brother...that's Sylar it seems because Nathan would never feel too regretful about getting some pussy, especially tatted-out Carnie pussy. LOL. I'm being crude again.
-even the breakdown, him losing it is Nathan yes, but dare I say it's Sylar, a confused Sylar more than anything. *head to desk* why am I deconstructing for Sylar? Screw him! I'll shaddup now.
Peter's bed squeaked across the floor. Nathan actually laughed, and Peter nearly cried then; he had done it. He had saved his brother. Made him happy. Been the one he needed. And gotten such an incredible fuck out of it, too...
Thanks, Emma. I owe you one. - HA! Loved this. I also smiled when Peter stripped down and was walking around the room and asked Nathan if he was still cute. LOL. Loved that.
I said parts of this were emotionally exhaustive. Yeah, I stand by that but there was humor in this too that I loved and moments where I felt the love between the brothers; and of course love for Peter and his fated self-deprecating ways. I think I brought in the knowledge of what will happen ultimately with the character of N.P. and was ver klempt from jump. But this was a beautiful addition to Ritual; very well crafted and so much that I didn't point out I loved. I'm glad you gave us more. I kinda want to prescribe Nathan some meds for bipolarism. I mean, I wonder if that would help to keep Sylar in check? If booze affected him, why not Xanax or Parotexine? LOL. And now I ramble. Bravo, lady. Thank your for this turkey day gift and good luck with your manuscript. I can't wait to see what newness you'll be bringing us by way of original fic and I will purchase your last two as I'm so behind with doing so. *hangs head* ;)

Which brings me to what I think are glimpses of Sylar:
-the 'hearing' of Peter's thoughts w/o Peter realizing
Yep.
-the obvious rough sex and the ball play in the other scene; it was as if he'd never sucked balls before...like he did it with a kind of curiosity and wonder at Pete's reaction?
Yep, kind of. The rough sex, definitely, but also a bit of Nathan acting out his anger in the only way he can.
-the panic-attack; Peter leaving. that seems like Sylar to me. just because he's not used to that kind of companionship/love
Actually, no - that's all Nathan.
-the scene in the latter bit where Nathan returns and is confused but knows he should return to Peter because he's on the level when he's near his brother...that's Sylar it seems because Nathan would never feel too regretful about getting some pussy, especially tatted-out Carnie pussy.
LOL - and no, that's all Nathan, too; Nathan doesn't have any regrets or guilt, only he's annoyed because he can't remember it - he's assuming that he was fucked up at the time. Which he might have been, on nasty Carnie box wine. :)
-even the breakdown, him losing it is Nathan yes, but dare I say it's Sylar, a confused Sylar more than anything.
No, that's Nathan, too. He doesn't want Peter to leave - especially since he begged him not to just earlier that day. He doesn't remember that Peter never promised him he would; Sylar wanted him around to be a sex toy, and Nathan wanted him around to be his identity anchor (and sex toy). Unfortunately for them both, Peter isn't interested in being a slave. He doesn't know. Goddamn Angela. She isn't acting out of love, only possessiveness. Nathan is Her Son and she refuses to give him up - not because she loves him, but because he belongs to her. Grrr. Sylar was right; she raised the bar of evil so high that even with all the people he's killed, he's still a rank amateur compared to her.
I can't wait to show people the original fiction; I hope it goes well! I really, really love the story and the characters (oh-so similar to the ones you all know and love so well). And now it's all me and all them - at least until the next Ritual plot bunnie shows up and starts nibbling at my brain!
